This alone was worth the price of admission. Enjoy the game tonight!

NHL and IIHF got it right (exept for the roster rules)...when the Olympic tournament happens next year, it'll be must-see TV.

There needs to be a ROFL emoji added to Substack!! The heart button doesn't fully convey how much I enjoyed this!! I absolutely love the sense of humor in everything you write - from the DBD days!!

Hope the game lives up to the hype!!! At least we can enjoy it knowing that no Stars will get hurt.

Will somebody remind me, I’ve been getting flak for my “missing forward” comments… when was the last time Hintz showed up in a big game/series??? Not the 4 nations, not the Finnish games, not last post season (as I recall)… it was?

Hintz destroyed Minnesota in the first round two years ago with five goals and seven assists in six games. Then was decent vs. Seattle (five or six pts IIRC). Last year, the slash from MacKinnon seemed to affect him a lot, so I'm hesitant to judge too harshly.

Thanks! My eye test with him is giving me headaches recently :))). Yes, super fast, and good for 1 or 2 flying rushes… and more scores than not! But the remainder of his ice time I have flashbacks of a Faska like d forward who doesn’t develop many chances… my be my eyesight… but still.

That's not totally off. His profile is more of a play driver than a finisher or a playmaker, though he can do both. It's why he meshed so well with Pavelski and Robertson, I think. He needs those complementary players to really be at his best.
