I think it’s time we give Michael bunting a look. He’s fresh, he’s a puck hound, he goes to the dangerous areas, and he draws penalties. Those characteristics are exactly what we need right now with our lack of even strength scoring.
Ooh, it’s so painful when it seemed like they played well enough to deserve the W. I imagine this is how the Wild fans felt after Game 3, though that’s cold comfort right now.
Editing to add, really wishing the best for Nils and his face—that was ugly and scary.
While Wallstedt was very good I thought we didn’t do enough at times to go to the net and take away his vision, too many shots he stared straight into the glove … can’t be too dispirited with that one overall, hope Nils is back next game
Yeah, there were a few shots where I kinda wished they’d held it and cycled one more time—maybe a bit of an overcorrection there, hope they dial it in better for Game 5+
I thought Oscar played quite well Saturday, a bounce here or there and Stars win, but a lineup change should be in order to see if that shakes out some better puck luck 🍀
As emotionally traumatic as playoff losses can be, I’m going to choose to brush that one off without much angst. We probably played our best 5v5 game, just need a little more directness and puck luck; our special teams are super hot; playoff Otter is fully present. Yes, they overran us in the last 10min of OT, but losing Nils really put our remaining dmen up against it, especially the 3rd pairing.
As far as playoff losses go, that one wasn’t soul crushing. We move on.

Tend to agree, Ritzy is struggling up on that line with Mikko and Johnston so not sure if you Bunting there but need to throw a different look

Wish they had run this yesterday, but I’ll bet this is what they do on Tuesday

If you want Steele over Bäck, I won’t argue.

I agree, but I can see the argument for Steele. Give me Bäck, though.

You are an example to us all, John!
I surprise even myself. Hockey is silly and therapy works. 😂
