Let's all learn something today
On January 28, Mark Stone collided with Miro Heiskanen’s left knee. Initially, the hope was that Heiskanen wouldn’t be out for an excessive amount of time, but after some imaging was done, Heiskanen had knee surgery in New York on February 4.
While the Stars haven’t given specifics about the nature of the knee injury, there are some pretty logical deductions you can make from watching the hit itself. .

This injury (or injuries, if damage was done to multiple parts of the knee) was caused by a hit to the outside of the knee
Surgery was required
Jim Nill said last week in an interview with the DLLS crew that the plan is for Heiskanen to return “sometime in the first round.”
Heiskanen was not yet skating as of last week
