Mikko Rantanen will be playing his first game as a Star in Dallas tonight, when Stars face the Anaheim Ducks. After being acquired at the trade deadline on March 7, Rantanen has played four straight roads games—though the Stars did come home to practice for two games during the four-day break in between last week’s games against Vancouver and Winnipeg.
Tonight is also Noche Mexicana, if you’re planning to attend the game. Personally, I enjoy the culturally-specific nights during the 41-game home schedule of the regular season. Some variety is always cool.
Speaking of variety, tonight will mark Evgenii Dadonov’s first healthy scratch of the season.
Moreover, tonight will be Dadonov’s first missed game of the season. He’s one of six players to have played all 66 games for Dallas so far this year.
