I think Miro is getting the recognition he deserves. He hasn't quite gotten to that Norris level yet, but he gets plenty of love. Everyone knows what he can do, but he hasn't quite had that nuclear-powered season in the last couple years that capitalizes on the press. But he's probably their best player right now, or at least their most important.

I had Johnny as my easy answer too before you started the rundown. I know his GM, coaches and teammates rate him properly, which is great for us fans.

And the fact that he has worn that A on the road speaks volumes as to his leadership abilities and the respect all of the coaches, staff and rest of the team have for such a young player.

WyJo, nice! Do you see parallels between his game and Mitch Marner’s, who I’ve read is a player he admires (I can’t tell you how many brain cells it took me to come up with a different phrase than “someone he stans,” because online brainrot)? My kneejerk answer is yes, but hand up, I’m not that well-versed in Marner stats.

Marner might have superior raw physical gifts. They're both huge pieces, but probably never going to be clear-cut number ones.
