Great success, in this sense.

Too bad Victory + was lagged out for most of the night. Or maybe not.

Much like the Stars, Victory+ has also decided these last few regular season games are meaningless, apparently.

Just saw an insane stat. During the current 6 game losing streak, the Stars have given up 5 goals in 1st periods, 4 goals in 2nd periods — and 20 goals in 3rd periods and later.

Wut.

Admittedly, like half of those came in the Vancouver game. But yeah, the string of third-period comebacks they're allowing has not been encouraging. Also, they are missing their three best defensemen.

I think Pete DeBoer said that he plans on playing his best available lineup on Wednesday. If this happens yet again against a bad Nashville team , then they have a real problem besides missing Miro, which is plenty bad enough. Trying not to be too negative here, but it’s incredibly hard not to be right now.

As Sean Shapiro has been saying, the Stars are treating these last couple like preseason games. So I think you can put an asterisk on at least the last two losses a bit

True. And I do, but the Stars were not exactly playing their best hockey even before these two games. Really, they have been in a funk since the middle of March even when they were still winning hockey games.

They sure have been. I think everyone has reason to be concerned or hopeful as they choose. But there's no denying that they've been providing little evidence lately for hope.

I dunno, but seems to me giving up 5 goals every game, regardless of when, isn't exactly winning hockey.

The math agrees with you there.

Victory+ was good to go for me tonight, after it glitched vs SLC.

And… anybody else not convinced that Otter is our best choice vs CO? Kinda like DeSmiths game better… just saying…

Oettinger is their best goalie. He'll play against Colorado.

Otter (and DeSmith) has been playing with poor team defense (that includes the forwards) for months now. I have a hard time believing this team is magically going to turn their defensive effort up to playoff level with the snap of a finger. I hope I am wrong but I don't see them winning more than 1-2 playoff games.

They have a lot to prove, certainly.

Regardless of how they say they are treating these last few games, the past month is cause for huge concern. My doomer is out. I'm afraid our defensive game is going to get us bounced in the 1st round. Please GOD let Miro be back by game 3.

The only hope we have is scoring lots of goals and Other playing at a .920+sv%
