SHAME ON THE DALLAS STARS ORGANIZATION!!!

The Stay2Play SCAM lined the pockets of their employees. They participated in making the sport MORE expensive for families of youth hockey players. The Stars, their facilities, and all MGMT and their employees, should be making every effort to PUBLICLY improve this, NOW!

I grew up playing amateur hockey in Texas in the 70s. We had 5 separate organizations, 2 in Houston, 2 in Dallas, and 1 in Arlington. Our “league” also include the Tulsa and Ok City organizations.

We were SUPPORTED by the old CHL teams in Dallas, Ft Worth, Tulsa, Ok City, and the WHL team in Houston. As well as the old timers who maybe met a gal, and stuck around after their playing days. Gordie himself spoke at some tournaments.

Jeeeze, how has it been allowed to go to such SHIT? Again, Shame on the Stars!!!

Just read about this one. I have had my own issues with the business side but nothing like this. This is horrible.

The Stars looked a lot more like themselves tonight. It might not have seemed that way, but in my opinion it had to do with how the Wild played. They didn’t pass up a single shot, no matter how low a scoring chance it represented. Defensively, they stacked the slot area and dared the Stars to try to try to get pucks through the bodies. This is a fine strategy for a undermanned team playing on the road — as long as they don’t fall behind. You wait for the home team to get impatient and make.a mistake, and then you counterattack. But once the Stars got ahead, the Wild couldn’t stay in their shell forever. The rest was Jake being Jake. And I think it was Mikko’s best home game. It’s still going to be a process before that line really gels, but they’re getting there.

I think you're onto something there.

Re: the shot clock/DeBoer: it looked to me like Dallas played a patient game last night. That 6-0 SOG advantage early didn't seem like the ice was even remotely that tilted. This is something to build on over the next three weeks.

Re: pay2play...man, that's disconcerting that the Stars organization is now connected to that rip off. I hope it's something that they are internally reviewing and making important changes to. That's not how you "grow the game"...it's how you ultimately turn people off and make them actively hate a team/sport/league. Bad juju.
