I hate losing. HATE it.

Meanwhile, the Pens are drilling the Avs 6-2 in Denver, which only makes losing this game even worse.

Literally as I hit the period on that sentence, the Pens scored again. It's now 7-2.

Interestingly, despite that awful turnover that led to the 3rd Utah goal, the HockeyStatCard people gave Miro a grade of 3.77 (solid A, highest score by a mile for all players in the game). I'm not going to argue with them. Miro always looks like the best player on the ice even when he is having an off game.

Bring on the Avs. Both teams will be coming off bad losses, but to be honest the Avs look a lot worse in their game than the Stars did tonight.

One of Colorado or Dallas is bound to fade down the stretch. What nobody might expect is for them both to. But we’ve got a lot of hockey left.

I wonder if both teams were looking ahead to Wednesday.

I hope I’m not the only one who noticed the error at the bottom of the Victory+ pregame graphic that says we went 12-0-1 in our last 12. How does that work out?

Maybe they’ve just been *that* good, Patrick. Or maybe I didn’t catch it either. Who’s to say, really, in these modern times?

In a weird way, I'm kinda glad they lost this game right before their game against COL. It feels like they knew their confidence was intimidating, and after dismantling a few teams with negative goal differentials, became recklessly cocky as a result. A little humility before one of the biggest games of the year isn't a bad thing.

It certainly could wind up being a reality check. We'll see if the same held true for Colorado after their loss.

Johnston (safe bet), Robo, Benn, Duchene, Miro, Ritzy, Bunting and Harley! (I had to look it up - I'd missed Harley opting to toss out Erne as a wildcard option)

Fun fact on that trivia question - in the Stars run of a PP goal in 12 games, Michael Bunting had one PP for AND one against (scoring for Nashville before the move).

The more you know.

This is such a fun stat, right?
