On Monday you wrote about Jamie Benn not having a PP goal and then the very next game he goes out and gets his first. You should use your Nostradamus powers more often.
Brilliant analysis. I love your comment about Essa’s play on the kill. We sit at that end of the rink and I just happened to focus on Essa for that entire possession. It is magic to watch his strategic deployment of energy, and knowing when to idle back and allow his legs to recover for his next needed burst. And then to have the presence of mind to calmly collect the puck and find an open spot for a secure-safe-no-turn-over-risk-clear to end that portion of the Vegas job.
We love how much you love the game and see/share the details that get the boys an important win.
Thanks, Weston. It really is mesmerizing to watch him in clips like that, where he just seems to know every trigger point for pressuring down to the millisecond. Y'all are lucky to get to see it up close!
When I said the other day that Otter needed to be better, tonight’s game is what I had in mind.

I’m trying to keep those quiet, Patrick. Can’t have people expecting miracles every day.

Yep, row D center behind the net is awesome. Helps to have watched 100s of high school games in Minnesota as a kid.
