They played so well for 40 minutes.

And then they played so disinterested for 15 minutes. I don't get it.

And then they did that THING they do. I literally said out loud to myself when Miro first started carrying the puck "keep going" bc he so often chooses to be conservative...really wish he'd just go full AGGRESSION with his offensive forays bc I think there's more there.

Duchene looks like a completely different player. I said he and Been looked "washed" a couple weeks ago which is why I'm sitting on a couch watching this stuff.

If the Harley / Lundquist 2nd grouping can continue to play well that solves a lot of problems.

How can you got 18 minutes before getting a 2nd shot on goal in the 3rd period?

Is it better to fight squirrels from stealing the bird seed or just give in and provide them nuts?

What's the next random thing that I can think of?

(FWIW....the answer is give in....if you provide squirrels nuts they not only stop f'in up your bird feeders they provide endless amounts of entertainment).

As Robert mentioned, and I think was talked about in the post-game presser, Heiskanen has a tendency to go more defensive. But man, if he, Harley, and Lundquist can better balance the offensive side, that would be a boon for this team. I personally think more offense from Harley helps him defensively.

Agree. I haven’t run the numbers but I know during the losing part of Jan the DMen weren’t contributing to the scoresheet much and ever since they have started to put points up the Stars have been a much better team.

Good to know I wasn’t the only one talking to my television tonight! Afterwards I said out loud “Why does it [Blues/Stars games, that is] have to be this way??”

I’m so relieved that the team has a thoroughly unwashed third line!!

Where I live, we don’t really have squirrels, but we have ground squirrels—we call them pocket gophers. Really adorable but bastards, honestly.

That Heiskanen - Benn final goal was a beauty. It made me forget that I had thrown my remote earlier in the third. I am hoping for some health (Bischel) and some of that Nil magic to shore up the D as we head into playoff time.

I do remember Pang + Razor trading places too, 2nd period sometime after the Ladislav Nagy trade and Razor said he wanted to yell out "NAGY" when he had the puck, but he never did.

Thank you for confirming that I’m not crazy!

Thank you for linking the vid of Miro's first shift. He really has been That Good this entire time, huh?

And just imagine if he did that on the regular?

When the NHL decided to let players go to the Olympics, I don’t think they really considered just what the heck I’m supposed to do with myself for the next 3 weeks without the Stars consuming 80% of my waking thoughts. Rude of them tbh.

You're supposed to watch Olympic Hockey! Like I watched the Women this morning! It was great!

Oh I’ll definitely watch the games! I was really talking about the 50% of my brain that is thinking about the Stars as I go through the rest of my day. lol

I also remember the game where Razor and Panger switched, you are therefore not any more crazy than I am. I actually happened to be visiting family in Tucson when that game aired, and was happy to catch the Stars game through the Coyotes broadcast. Was pleasantly surprised when they did the switch for a period!
