I think these guys were such an important part of the next man up mentality that carried this team so far this year. Capobianco is my 10-year-old's favorite player and I just won a Capo Texas Stars jersey auction for him. Selfishly, I really want Capo to stick around so I can find a way to get it signed. :)
Call the spade a spade...we downgraded for more money. Bishcel / Petro worked so well, we had to break it up. Capo/Lundqvist would have been an offensive d-line to keep the other team off their game, having to rotate from the bruisers (Bisch/Petro), to the scorers (Capo/Lundqvist), to the all arounders (Lindell/Heiskanen). i didn't leave out Harley on accident, either.
In my ideal world, Capo would stick around as a 7th D, with both Lyubushkin and Myers gone. Petro would go back to his mentor role with Texas.
I know it leaves Dallas with a bunch of LHD, but Capo's ability to move the puck outweighs any handedness advantages - and we could use the cap "even the 600K that's gained from losing Myers.
Great take. Petro could be a natural fit to move into Curtis McKenzie's Captain role if he doesn't return and sure up the d-line in Texas. We have some promising defensemen in Texas that could use a mentor like Petro on the roster, just like Bischel benefitted from playing with him.
Like Capo a lot real good puck mover and made major contribution last season way better than the play off killer Myers . Issue is if they don’t sign him someone else will that’s why they didn’t put him thru wavers . Need bold action from MR Nill this off season . Get Robbo signed .
May either or both of them land a Joel Hanley-esque contract as a result.

Both these guys have played better than Myers. Let Myers ride the pine next year or better yet trade him so we don't have to eat his 1.5 salary.
